Who Are We?

The Ebenezer Seventh-day Adventist Church Men's Ministry is a community of men submitted and committed to following the example of Jesus Christ. We seek to glorify and serve God by building character, serving the community and reproducing the life of Jesus in the lives of others. The Men’s Ministry is designed to disciple and deploy men to live for Christ in their marriages, families, work, church, world and personal lives. The ministry is dedicated to helping men be the godly men God calls them to be. The ministry endeavors to actively pursue men in order to connect them to God, His Word, and other men for the purpose of winning, growing, and training God’s man in Christ.

SERVE IN THIS MINISTRY

ELIGIBILITY TO SERVE AS A MEN'S MINISTRY VOLUNTEER :
In order to serve in this ministry, you must be a member of the Ebenezer Seventh-day Adventist Church orChurch or in the process of becoming a member. In applying you are acknowledging that how you live your life reflects upon our Lord Jesus Christ and the Word of the Lord. You agree to uphold the principles and morals of God's Word at all times.

Who Are We?

We provide essential support to the women of the Ebenezer Seventh-day Adventist Church in a spirit of love. Together we learn who we are in Christ, the power of prayer, how to deal with everyday situations and problems and the call to witness to others the "Good News" of Jesus Christ.

Our women seek to foster spiritual growth and renewal. We minister to the broad spectrum of women’s needs across the life span and find ways and means to challenge each female member of Ebenezer to use her gifts to complement the talent of others as they work to further the global mission of the church.

We have monthly women's meetings and special events.

Who Are We?

Family Ministries empowers and ministers to families using Christ-centered approaches. We seek to enable the family to grow and develop spiritually, emotionally, physically, intellectually and socially, so that each family member will be equipped to meet the
challenges of everyday living.

Happy families and marriages don’t just happen! The purpose of Family Life is to meet the needs of married couples, parents and children, and singles. Family Life will help you understand God’s plan for your home and will help you discover new insights about family relationships as the family continues life’s journey together. We offer activities for families in each stage of life: single, engaged, newly married, raising young or not-so-young children and seasoned with wisdom to offer. Family Life sponsors couples and family retreats, seminars, banquets, social activities for singles only, and other fellowship events.

SERVE IN THIS MINISTRY

ELIGIBILITY TO SERVE IN FAMILY MINISTRIES:
In order to serve in this ministry, you must be a member of the Ebenezer Seventh-day Adventist Church or in the process of becoming a member.

In order to be considered for Effective Parenting Solutions Facilitator, Family Coach, Confident Kids Facilitator, and Children's Water Baptism Interviewer you:

• Must have served faithfully in another ministry at The Ebenezer Seventh-day Adventist
• Church and be recommended by overseeing pastor or ministry leader
• Must complete all training related to the division of ministry in which you will serve
• Must consent to a background check

ACTIVITIES AND FUNCTIONS

• Serving at sign-up tables, where workers must present themselves friendly and knowledgeable about the event, class or seminar.
• Checking-in students to parenting classes or events.
• Selling books.
• Adding information to spreadsheets or databases.
• Setting up refreshments.

FREQUENCY OF SERVICE

We have flexible schedules and seasonal events. Therefore, we can schedule you when it works best for you and your family. However, we do need a contingent of workers available to serve on Wednesday evenings and in between some Saturday services.

LENGTH OF COMMITMENT

While we suggest a two-year commitment, we are committed to helping each individual find where they fit best.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

While not a requirement to serve, Family Ministries is interested in recruiting ministry workers with the following special skills:

• Educators
• Social workers
• Psychologist/psychiatrist
• Attorneys/paralegals

WHO ARE WE?

The Marriage Ministry empowers both married and engaged couples through sound biblical and practical teaching to have a deeper friendship with their spouse. We also seek to bring together married couples, allowing for lifelong friendships where they will be able to offer close personal support throughout the range of challenges faced daily by people.

Marriage Ministry offers couples encouragement in key areas as prayer, communication, conflict, finance and intimacy. Support is also available to couples who may be experiencing discomforting times in their marriage. This support helps strengthen the marriage and bring back the ‘spark’ that all marriages need. The ministry provides mentoring, couples’ workshops, fun nights out, marriage retreats, and much more.

ACTIVITIES AND FUNCTIONS:

We provide classes, workshops and functions for couples, including teaching and conferences. During the summer we provide a wide range of activities focused on fellowship and fun. Events include date nights, picnics, plays and more.

WHO ARE WE?

The Singles’ Ministry is a place for those that have never been married, are divorced or became single again due to the loss of a spouse. We empower singles through sound biblical and practical teaching to have a deeper relationship with Christ while celebrating oneness. We also seek to bring together singles, allowing for lifelong friendships where they will be able to offer close personal support throughout the range of challenges faced daily by people.
